The place where you talk about New Moon,
why you're SEEING IT
why you're NOT SEEING IT,
what you LOVED,
what you HATED,
what made you SQUIRM WITH SECOND-HAND EMBARRASSMENT,
what made you you LAUGH AT THE WRONG TIME,
or at the RIGHT TIME,
and what made you you DIE INSIDE FROM HOW AWESOME IT WAS,
That place is
RIGHT HERE
in the comments.

Now you owe me.
(I'll be updating this post with my thoughts)
(You know, once I see it)
(I am seeing it EXTREMELY LATE TONIGHT)
(So I can't promise you coherency)
(But then, neither could Stephenie Meyer)
(Not to mention our dearest RPattz)
(Nor stutter-brain Kristen Stewart)
(for that matter)
Oh,
for fun,
**UPDATE**
Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh? Oh my gosh. I liked it. I really liked it!
I mean, it was ridiculous, Robert Pattinson? Somebody tell the guy to stand up straight and get some charisma!
And could there be any less chemistry between these actors?
And the cheesy soap opera music in the background?
BUT.
Hello, shirtless Jacob! Easily, Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart carried this movie.
There wasn't even any awkward stuttering!
BUT.
The part when Jacob and Bella were thiiiiis close to kissing? The Holbs leaned over and whispered, "Dude, he's going to fall in love WITH HER BABY" and I couldn't stop laughing for five minutes.
There really is no difference between junk food for the body and junk food for the brain. You take it in, it feels good even though you know how bad it really is, and then afterwards you feel disgusting and carry around the bloat with you for three days as a reminder of what you've done.
I know you know what I mean.
BUT.
I loved it. It was, shockingly, well done.
I'm still not sure how I feel about all this.
AND.
The last five seconds of the movie? Completely, stupidly fantastic.

I laughed hysterically when the tourist that were going to be fed to the Volturi start screaming, how wrong is that?
I, personally, was laughing at how many times they seemed to fit in a semi-naked Jacob in the film. You better believe everyone in the theater went, "Woo, YEAH!" everytime he came on screen as I laughed at them. :]
The screaming tourist part actually freaked me out..
you will love love love everything about it! i really haven't stopped thinking about it, talking about it and fantasizing about Edward and half naked Jacob...sooo good!
I LOVED LOVED LOVED it! I actually had to drive 2 hours after work to see it and then drove home after it to work the next day and it was worth every bit of lost sleep!! Waaaayyy better than twilight! Can't wait to see it again - hope you love it as much as I did :)
I laughed so hard at the first picture, read, scrolled down, and laughed even harder at the second picture!
I haven't seen the movie yet, but I'm looking forward to it. I'll be back once I do... It may be a little while...
I hope you enjoy the movie! I can't wait to read what you have to say about it.
half naked Edward was a bit of a ..hairy..let-down!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I LOVED your pic, your awesome. hahaha. I can't get over it. You should be bella- in the movie. Much more sexier.
So I like this post- Its encouraging to read the comments, better than twilight? Thank Goodness.
What do you think? we goin tomorrow or what? get our mock on?
I SAW IT. I saw it at 12:30 am. I've read the books and I loved the last movie, but I'm not a superfan by any means. Still, I was there, and I LOVED this movie, even though I didn't like the book as much as Twilight or Eclipse. The movie made me much more sympathetic to Jacob, even though I'm totally an Edward-Bella kind of girl (it's probably because Taylor Lautner is gorgeous and a class-act, while Pattinson is kind of a weird dude). I did feel that "second hand embarrassment" when we got a peek into Alice's vision of Edward and Bella as vamps. It was way corny. But other than that it was FANTASTIC. Enjoy it!!
well, i do not read the books. i saw twilight and had mixed emotions about it.
however, i decided to see new moon sheerly for all of the previews i saw of half-naked jacob. (it's so sad that he's only 17!)
and i must say, i do not understand why everyone is "team edward.." jacob is just such a sweetie and that bod? humminah humminah! i also thought the bella/edward vamp scene was waay awkward.
so there you go, from a blog-fan stranger!
i feel like a pedophile because i lusted after a 17 year olds hot bod the ENTIRE TIME. sweet jesus, is that allowed??? probably not.
i laughed hysterically at the:
-cliff jumping part (edward and bella floating together in the water? TOO FUNNY.)
-edwards uneven nipps, and hair chest. please, put your shirt BACK on.
-the heavy breathing between bella and edward EVERY SINGLE TIME they are together. and their awful kissing. ick.
-the edward and bella scene where they are frolicking through the woods wearing clothing from 1926.
-the ending. really???
it was so worth it.
I saw this tonight & will be going back tomorrow to see it again (with a different group of ppl). I think they did a good job capturing the book. Loved seeing more of Jacob. Secondhand embarassment at the whooping girls every time we see Jacob. (Even tho in my heart I was joining them! LOL) I am not an Edward fan, I am team Jacob all the way - even though I am Team Edward for Bella, because they are perfect for each other. I just like the character of Jacob more than the character of Edward.
And I may be in the minority (from the grumbles in the theatre) but I reallllly liked how they ended it! Being a fan of the story, I know what happens next, and I think it was a great place and way to end this installment.
Can't wait to read what you think, Nat!!
I vote for a recast of Edward for the next 2 movies.
Just came home from the theater. Imagine a group of four English majors laughing at it together. Pure bliss!
I squirmed with second hand embarrassment after finding out that Taylor Lautner is only 17. Cause what I thought while I watched his awesome sexiness on screen, is illegal in all 50 states for say....another 82 days. He'll be 18 then! Woot!
:)loved the brand, and crazy post indeed
Haven't seen it yet,but must see it soon, otherwise I won't have a clue what anyone is talking about :)
Alright I am a hardcore fan of the books, now I really have to see it!
The first time I saw Kristen Stewart was as the big sister on Zathura (like unto Jumanji, only better), and thought, what a talented young actress! Then my brother, who is mentally disabled came over and watched it. And he wanted to watch it again and again, but he always wanted to fast-forward to the part where she is frozen - frozen Lisa, he called her. I giggle now because I guess she is pretty hot stuff, but I still don't think she really is, aside from talent in acting. (She kicks Kiera Knightly's butt in acting any day - but then, almost anyone can...) My brother has immaculate taste in women, and he knew she was hot stuff long ago. As for Twilight, I'll take it or leave it, but just as likely leave it. Vampires - not really my thing. Morphing humans, not really my thing. Teeny-bopper intense "die without you" love, not really my thing. Not that I blame anyone else for loving it. I know it's the going thing.
I like to use all Twilight saga viewing experiences (and Harry Potter, for that matter) as the opportunity to unabashedly release the squealy 14 year old girl still locked inside my body. She must be given moments of complete control every so often so as to lessen her influence in the rest of my life when I need to behave like the "grown" woman that I am.
Giving into a little ridiculousness and fanaticism every once in awhile is good for the soul.
She was out in all her glory last night. And she was pleased with what she saw.
Yes, I'm a Twi-hard. I'm on the Twilight Tuesday Design Team and everything. LOVE the books. Hated Twilight. However, I've seen the movie about 10 times, including Thursday night at the theatre right before we saw New Moon at midnight. Twilight was the worst movie I ever loved. New Moon on the other hand was really great! The makeup was better, the acting was better (KS didn't stutter every single line this time!), and the story stayed truer to the book. Was there stupid stuff? Hell yeah. Why the heck does it look like Edward is wearing lipstick??? Why did they need to show Edward and Bella frolicking so ridiculously? But who cares??? I'm a 31 year old mom that has always had an obsession with vampires... so The Twilight Saga has become an outlit for me. The movie was great. Can't wait to see it again, when I bring my husband (who yes, really does want to see it. He read all 4 books as well!). I will continue to act like a swooning 13 year old, because that's just what you do for this tpe of pop culture phenomonon isn't it? Lose yourself in the fantasy. That's just waht I did. Lost it!!! Enjoy the flick when you get to see it. Can't wait to read what you thought!!!
I haven't seen it. I saw Twilight and it was just sooooooo tragic (as in tragically lame) that I am gun shy I think. But for those of you who love the saga, you should check out this blog post by a writer who gives presentations on the twilight books. I think it's a very interesting POV.
oops forgot to post the link.

The post is called "Twilight: A Different Perspective"
I'm not going to see it Nat. I don't know whether that's sacriligous or not. I have posted about it on my own blog (peterboroughdays.blogspot.com) but the real reason I won't be seeing it is that I am ashamed of my first boyfriend. He told me he was a vampire in the middle of my goth phase (in 1999) when I was 16 and I bought it. I still wear the scars. I still like vampires, but the whole thing is kinda creeping me out at the moment. Especially that the people who seem to be loving the whole vampire thing now are the ones who bullied me no end while I was reading Rice and Brite and searching out anything I could find on them. But I do watch True Blood... although I find that that is the visceral anger I associate with vampires, which I can't believe that the Twilight series could have.
I have vampire teeth :}
I LOVED the movie, but I have to say the part where Alice showed the Volturi the scene of Edward and Bella prancing through the forest was COMPLETELY overdone. We all laughed hysterically. ;)
I left an award for you on my blog. Drop by to pick it up if you'd like. :) Happy Weekend, dear!
Just saw it this afternoon. I thought it was much better than Twilight, but still had some akward moments. It seemed to me that Pattinson was in physical pain every time he kissed Stewart. Almost like she forgot to brush her teeth and Pattinson was kissing her and thinking, "Gosh, someone hurry up and say 'cut' already!"
But I thought it was a good flick, and gave me a great excuse to get out of the house for a couple hours and hang out with my sister.
I totally loved it! Saw it in a sold out theater and of course people were screaming everytime Jacob showed up without his shirt.
I thought the movie was much better than the first one. A couple scenes did annoy me - the revolving month scene was a bit obnoxious. I also didn't like the scene where Edward leaves Bella. The camera kept jumping back and forth between their faces and it really took me out of the movie. Other than that, I thought the movie was great and so much fun!
saw it twice in 24 hours. eek.
loved the movie scene. with mike and jacob both waiting to hold hands.
happy edward at the beginning? adorable. Angsty edward throughout the rest of the movie? super annoying.
second hand embarassment-- how about the whimpering every time they kissed??? yuck.
and I so agree Julie (above)-- that scene was editied horribly!
megs in wonderland - YES and YES and YES. The uneven nipples! The upside down weird floating in the water, what did that even mean?? Ohhh it was all genius. GENIUS.
MC, also loved the movie scene, I think the actor who plays Mike is hysterical. And ditto to you on the whimpering. That was . . . awkward.
The Holbs is really funny. watch me go watch it now and start giggling at the part where their thisssss close to kissing. :)
Here I am, commenting again! hahaha, I love holbs comment. its got me laughing too. how true. can't wait to see it!
I loved it. And I was totally Team Edward when I read the books however many times I read the books, but now the movie helps me understand Jacob's side (and hotness) better. Addicting. I feel so sorry for all the pain he's gonna go through. Sometimes I think he is better for Bella. But yay for action!
I had to stay away from your blog until now, just got home a bit ago from seeing it. I LOVED it. I have finally gotten past sharkboy as Jacob although I then realized I'm old enough to be his mother which was a bit disconcerting but Oh My he looked GOOD. Now its time to read the books again I think!
So glad you liked the movie! Hey, I love your blog so much, I gave you a blog award! It's in my post from yesterday. Maybe you could swing by and grab it??? Have a great day!
It was so good! I saw it twice in the same day. I'm a Twihard.
omg I was totally one of those people that I usually make fun of. You know, the star wars nerds who wait in line for like 2 days to get tickets. Needless to say I went to the midnight showing. Here's what I say to people who say it was terrible or those ridic people that haven't read or plan to read any of the books, 'Dude, it's a movie about wolves and vampires. I just want them to look pretty and make out a little.'
And I'm not ashamed to admit that I screamed at the movie screen when the credits rolled at the end.
